The Blog Buddy campaign won the 2008 Bulldog Reporter Award for PR Innovation of the Year. The Blog Buddy pairs your author with a "blog warrior" for a month of guided mayhem. This campaign requires a strong commitment by the author: one hour every working day for a month (20 daily sessions).
We begin the Blog Buddy by preparing a couple introductory posts for the author, setting up an email address, logins and passwords to use during the campaign. A single blog buddy campaign can result in registrations on dozens of blogs, media outlets, and discussion groups. We manage all the confirmations and account set-ups.
Next we connect with the author on the phone at a prearranged time for an hour-long online treasure hunt. We preselect sites to visit based on the news and preregister so that the author spends all their time writing posts or comments, not fumbling for passwords and user IDs. Along the way up to the top of the Google alerts, our team teaches blog netiquette, formatting blog posts, basic HTML, how to add artwork to your posts, how to find copyright-free art, how to pitch when you can't post, and much more.
"I have to tell you that this was the very first PR campaign I've done in 10 years of writing books that had such measurable results show up so quickly. You wouldn't believe how things have picked up since working with you...it's amazing, absolutely amazing!!!"
-- Barbara Stanny, author of Overcoming Underearning (Collins) and Secrets of Six Figure Women (Collins)
"Steve O'Keefe and his associates took me and my existing, elementary blogging effort on a one-month road tour. The results were evident fairly quickly on the site, in attention and in sales. Be ready for an exhilarating ride."
